Europe-ATP Celebrates Ten Years of Successful

Conferences

Registration is open for E-ATP's 2018 Conference scheduled for

26 - 28 September in Athens, Greece

Europe-ATP, lead this year by Rebecca Loades of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), will kick off its tenth annual conference on the 26th of September 2018 at the Hotel Divani Apollon Palace and Thalasso in Athens Greece.  "I am honored to be this year's Chair of such a successful conference series, " Loades remarked. "And it will be great to see the return of attendees and sponsors who have made this conference what it is today."

The conference will open with global thought leader and futurist Charles Fadel helping us meet the challenges of the 21st century through learning assessments in an age of artificial intelligence. Fadel is author of Four-Dimensional Education and co-author of 21st Century Skills.  A prolific inventor with  seven patents to his name, Fadel's work spans the continuum of education and workforce development.

With the theme of Transforming Assessments,  the conference will focus on disruptive technologies and innovation, and will feature a variety of session types including  the ever-popular Hackathon. "Throughout this year's conference we will be celebrating what ten years of success looks like," Loades noted. She pointed to the growth of the conference since its inception in 2009 to present day, and how the programme and the conference profile have evolved.  "ATP is a cross divisional organisation and its conferences bring together professionals representing the many areas of testing from education to employment, from the certification to the workforce, and from schools and businesses to clinical settings. Europe-ATP facilitates this pan-industrial networking to the regional level, breaking down cultural and national boundaries to create a truly international atmosphere," Loades observed.

The E-ATP conference was first launched in Brussels in 2009 and has since been held in Prague, Barcelona, Berlin, St. Julian's, Budapest, Dublin, Lisbon and Amsterdam. ATP's CEO William G. Harris, noted that the E-ATP conference is becoming an increasingly important event within the testing industry where "innovative ideas are showcased, and attendees can count on high quality programme content."  Dr. Harris credited much of E-ATP's accomplishments with early foundational leadership from Marten Roorda of ACT (formerly of Cito) and Eric Shepherd of Questionmark, who laid the groundwork for the success of the Region. "Eric and Marten really came in with a vision of bringing the best that ATP had to offer, but to also insure that E-ATP would resonate with the European and International communities," Harris remarked.

The 2018 E-ATP programme is available online, and sponsorship opportunities are still available.
