Europe -ATP to Host Seventh Annual Conference in Ireland

The Dublin Intercontinental Hotel will be the site of E-ATP's 2015 Conference planned for 23-25, September. The Call for Presentations is open until Friday, April 3 - and seeks to fill three important tracks: Trends and Innovations; Test Development and Standards; Program Best Practices and Success Stories.

"Since 2009 E-ATP has been growing in popularity as a European-centric conference that focuses on closing the gap between required levels of skill and knowledge to meet the organizational needs of European countries, and the knowledge, skills and abilities of its workforce," said E-ATP's 2015 Chair, Matthew Poyiadgi of Pearson VUE in the U.K.

Poyiadgi pointed out that not only is E-ATP a unique conference in Europe, as it brings together all areas of testing from Education to Certification to Employment -- but it often serves as an innovator and incubator for new ideas. "Last year the concept of a Hackathon was first conceived at the E-ATP conference in Budapest and then, due to its success, was brought to the Innovations conference in the Sates."

Last year the E-ATP conference also served as an anchor to a meeting of ATP's Public Sector SIG which met at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Budapest in the two days preceding the start of the 2014 conference. David Bearfield, Director of the European Personnel Office (EPSO) and Chair of the ATP Public Sector SIG reported that plans were underway to create a SIG event once again in Dublin prior to the E-ATP conference.

Pam Patel, E-ATP's Administrator, noted that sponsorship is open and urged organizations not to delay in their consideration of support. "We hated turning companies away from the Innovations conference that just came in too late, " she said. "Dublin is bound to be a popular location and this year's programme tracks are well thought-out to provide the greatest amount of interest among testing professionals in Europe."
