In June ATP's members voted to usher in a new global By-Laws structure for the Association of Test Publishers. Among other changes, the new By-Laws recognize the "Structure and Authority of Regional Organizations." Read the full article.


East Meets West:

Two CEOs share their perspectives from different global regions

This year the testing Industry welcomed a number of new CEOs into its community.  The Test Publisher newsletter reached out to two of those CEOs from to different Regions of the world with questions about the future.

Cheng Yaw, CEO of ATA, headquartered in Beijing, China; and Sangeet Chowfla, CEO of the US-based Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC), headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. Read the full article.


ATP Submits Comments to the U.S.

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

In July, ATP submitted comments to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ("EEOC") related to compliance with Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA"). An Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking ("ANRM") concerns the obligation of each federal sector agency and department to be a "model employer of individuals with disabilities."  The EEOC invited public comment on a set of questions to help guide its deliberations in developing proposed regulations. "Down Under" ATP Member Honored with Royal Award

Ian Frank, CEO of the Australian Medical Council has been named as a recipient of the Member of the Order of Australia in the Queens Birthday honours list for 2014.  Frank was commended for significant service to medical administration and education, particularly training, accreditation and assessment for health care practitioners. Nominations Are Being Accepted Now for the

2015 ATP Board of Directors and ATP Awards

The Association of Test Publishers (ATP) invites members to nominate individuals for the 2015 ATP Board of Directors.   You must be a regular member in good standing to make a nomination. The Deadline for nominations is Monday, September 1, 2014: ATP Board Members serve a two-year term of office and attend four Board Meetings each year -- one in February or March (in conjunction with the Innovations in Testing Conference), one in September (in conjunction with the E-ATP Conference), and two telephone Board meetings in June and December.
