ATP Continues Summit Program Online and In-Person
&
New World of Testing Digital Series Returns

During the pandemic ATP launched three new learning initiatives that will be continuing on into 2022 and beyond. The first were a set of Summits: The ATP Global Security Summit and the EdTech & Computational Psychometrics Summit (ECPS), and the third was the New World of Testing (NWT) webinar series.

"ATP is always striving to reach the widest audience possible, and if there were any silver linings in the pandemic it was the way in which the world adapted to online learning. So as an Association, as pandemic restrictions lift, we do not want to step away from the larger community of learners that digital programs such as ECPS and NWT can  reach, and at the same time we recognize that there is seldom a replacement for in-person events. So we are hoping to engage in the best of both those worlds by staying digital for ECPS and NWT, and going in-person for the Global Security Summit," ATP CEO William G. Harris remarked.

NWT Webinar planned for May 26th

First up this spring will be a New World of Testing webinar sponsored by PSI on May 26th, Defeating Test Deceit: Practical Measures to Address and Mitigate Exam Fraud. This webinar, which is free of charge for all attendees, will examine the tackling of test fraud in our evolving and fast-moving digital assessment world, which means being able to rapidly move from detection to action. The webinar will focus on questions such as What actions should you take and when? and What are the key considerations related to test security and the impact of test fraud as you navigate across all aspects of the assessment life cycle.

A panel of experts will be moderated by John Weiner, Chief Science Officer PSI Services and include Kim Cohen, Senior Director, Credentialing, ISACA; Nicole Tucker, Director of Statistical Reporting and Analytics, PSI Services; Jeff Marsh, Manager of Test Security, Ascend Learning; and Carl Bowman, Senior Vice President Exam Services, CompTIA. ECPS planned for June 7-9

The next program will be ECPS held virtually June 7 - 9, Building Quality Digital Assessments for Lifelong Learning. This summit will examine how digital assessments are not merely a digital copy of a test, but a new paradigm that spans everything from the platform to the (big) data management, the automatic tools, the design of the test, and the (online) proctoring. This Summit will present discussions on how EdTech & CP, Business of Assessment, and Innovation can help conceive digital assessments for lifelong learning. This will include assessments ranging from summative and high-stakes tests to formative, personalized, and adaptive tests that support the learning process for all. And this year, the Summit will be preambled by a *workshop on June 6th focusing on the psychometrics challenges of digital learning and how computational psychometrics can help.

Global Security Summit planned for October 11th

And finally, the Global Security Summit will be held in-person, in London, October 11th at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow. "Plans are still in the works for this Summit though just as the past two virtual Security Summits were in 2020 and 2021, this Summit will be a deep-dive into the most current security issues impacting the global assessment industry," stated Harris.

Plans for the Summit are still being formulated, but the time and location has been conveniently established for the morning prior to the opening of this year's hybrid Europe-ATP conference, also at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow. [Register here.]
